Two rare Confederate imprints leading to Arkansas' secession. The first document, dated March 1861, calls for an election over the issue of secession and prints the South Carolina secession ordinance. The latter work dissolves the union between the United States and Arkansas and prints the state's new Confederate Constitution. The second work Sabin 57511; Crandall 1485; Parrish & Willingham 2710.
