Full red morocco gilt, most likely by Dubuisson though without ticket (and this plaque not noted by Rahir), with the central arms of Marie Leszczynska, Queen of France, a fanfare design on the covers likely from a plaque modelled on the work of Padeloup, the spine with strapwork surrounding fleurs-de-lys, all edges gilt, endpapers a gilt paper of the period. 7 7/8 x 5 inches (20 x 12.5 cm); xlviii, 852 pp., with three engravings after Rubens. Very light wear, overall a very attractive example.
