The facsimile folio in full pigskin gilt, the commentary volume in half cloth, all housed in folding card case. 17 1/2 x 12 inches (45 x 30 cm); a full facsimile in color including numerous movable volvelles. Some rubbing to text volume and box, the facsimile fine.
This is a very finely produced facsimile of the 1540 edition of the Astronomicum Caesareum, taken from the colored copy in the Landesbibliothek Gotha.
