. Paris: Moutard, 1778. First edition. Two parts bound as one, contemporary French blond calf, spine gilt in compartments, all edges yellow. 7 1/2 x 5 inches (19 x 12.5 cm); xv, [1], 280, including two folding tables; 157 [3] pp. Head of spine chipped, but overall a sound copy externally, very fresh internally. This copy does not have the errata leaf sometimes found.
Moheau is considered to be one of the founders of the science of demographics. Kress B.135; Goldsmiths' 11690.
