Served as Postmaster of Baltimore from 1845. Herewith a heartfelt A.L.S. regarding the death of his infant daughter in 1844. Letter sheet is completely intact with strong signature, the cover part has some damage from opening, overall a Fine and Scarce item of a personal tragedy.
