Claudiosaurus Permian Reptile

One of the first members of the Neodiapsida group, the Claudiosaurus was like a marine reptile with a longish body, neck and tail, perhaps similar to a modern Marine Iguana. Due to its skeleton and underdeveloped sternum, it probably had trouble supporting its weight on land and was more fluid in the water, swimming by undulating body and tail, then coming ashore to warm its body. This fantastic fossil reptile would measure 43 inches in length if uncoiled and rest on a plate 23 inches in length. The skull is extremely well preserved, with the dentary plainly visible: a museum quality specimen which was accessioned from a Museum in Berlin. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
