Calf scuffed and soiled, some cracking, front free endpaper of volume one parted, lacks five plates from volume I (XLI-XLV: Pennant's Marten or Fisher; Common American Skunk; Hare Squirrel; Canada Pouched Rat; Wilson's Meadow-Mouse).
