Worth Silver Brocade Presentation Dress
Circa 1910
The brocade a Persian inspired flowering tree pattern, the dress empire, with rhinestone straps overlaid with tulle at shoulders, the front and back worked with geometric beading, the skirt slit at one side to reveal silver lace, long back panel ending in square train, size 6, signature label: C. Worth, and stamped no. 53215.
Dress fabric, excellent condition, bodice fragile, some damage to chiffon and to satin at armscyes, interior disintegrated, back train incomplete, with selvedge showing.
