The dress with signature mixture of patterns and texture, the bodice of black velvet, with sheer lace sleeves, the skirt sewn at top with plaid taffeta band, the bottom a Persian patterned wool, each band accented with gold metal embroidery, lace ruffle hem, labeled: Geoffrey Beene/New York.
