Pair of Louis XVI Gilt-Bronze Chenets
Late 18th century
Each of rectangular form, the central circular body hung with fruiting garlands and applied with scrolls and arrows, surmounted by scrolling leafage centering a flaming urn, four eagle heads and a later flame finial. Height 16 1/2 inches (42 cm), width 14 3/4 inches (37 1/2 cm).
