Antique Platinum, Sapphire and Diamond Ring, France
Centering one cushion-shaped sapphire approximately 16.61 cts., accented by small single and rose-cut diamonds in a garland motif, with maker's mark and French assay mark, circa 1910. Size 3 3/4, with bumpers.
With AGL report no. CS 60206, stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin, no gemological evidence of heat or clarity enhancement.

Sapphire: deep vivid royal blue with slight violet hue, good color concentration, moderately included, some silk slightly visible to the eye to upper side of table, minor table edge and facet junction abrasions, line of small pitting or along crown facets, several slightly visible to eye, deep pavilion, lively.
