Germany Hamburg Award Winning Postal History Collection
Collection of approximately one hundred eight folded Letters or Covers studying the postal history uses of the State from 1772 to about 1872 commencing with a selection of HAMBURG Stampless Letters with French Occupation Period pieces, Thurn & Taxis Offices with Danish markings and Used with Stamps, Swedish and other postal administrations of the area, mostly European destinations with a few to the United States including to Salt Lake City Utah Territory, Iowa and an 1804 Boston Stampless SHIP letter, the collection was exhibited in 1959 and 1967 at the esteemed Garfield-Perry Stamp Club and awarded Certificate of Honor on both occasions, a wonderful collection with room for expansion, overall clean, Very Fine.
