Additional Notes & Condition Report

Shade: appears to be in generally good condition; no apparent hairline cracks or significant chip losses, etc.; there are, however, a few very small insignificant fleabite-size nicks to the lower rim edge and there is one somewhat larger size nick to this rim edge; there are a few internally trapped air bubbles in the glass, in the making, and not of any real consequence, notably, in the upper rim area; there is an area near the upper rim edge that has the appearance of being a c-shaped hairline crack, however, closer examination with a strong light source reveals striations in the glass in this area; also, there are perhaps two pieces of carbon inclusions in the glass in this area although they could instead be dark colored patches of dirt in small crevices;

Base: appears to be in generally good condition; the seven glass jewels appear to be original, consistent, and in good condition; each is made of translucent emerald green colored glass; one of these jewels has numerous striations in the glass, apparently, as made; two of the glass jewels are ever so slightly loose; the glass jewels have a nice strong deep pink, blue and gold iridescence; the patina is uniformly mottled green and chocolate brown in coloration; there is rubbing, soiling and wear to the patina, consistent with age, usage and handling; the ring-shaped metal insert is in generally good condition there are three ball-shaped screws that appear to be original; two of these screws are long and one is shorter; there is old wax residue on the interior side of this insert, consistent with age and usage.
