Chinese Underglazed Blue and Iron Red Porcelain Fish Jar
Qing Dynasty, probably Kangxi or Yongzheng period
The finely potted jar painted in the round with eight iron-red carp swimming amid lotus blossoms and water weeds between borders of lappets at the base and leaf tips at the shoulder, the base mark partially removed with part of the "jia" character still visible. Height 12 3/8 inches.
