Chinese Gilt-Bronze Duck-Form Censer
17th/18th Century
Cast in two sections as a duck standing on a raised base with scrolling legs and cast with swirling water on the platform where the duck stands, with the head turned to one side and its mouth open, the wing and tail feathers curled at the tips and incised with detailing, a coin type aperture below the tail for release of the incense smoke. Height 10 1/4 inches.
