Russian Porcelain Potpourri Vase and Cover
Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, St. Petersburg, period of Alexander II (1855-1881)
After a model by August Spiess, ovoid, on a raised circular foot, the domed cover with rose-form finial, the body painted on each side with a floral bouquet beneath a pierced upper section and above a molded foliate wreath, the sides with two foliate handles above a satyr mask. Height 11 3/4 inches (29.8 cm).
