The vasiform backrest above a drop-in seat and flanked by shaped armrests, raised on shell- and lion's head-carved cabriole legs headed by lions' heads and ending in paw feet, the back rail with stamped initials A P; the inside front rail with later brass plaque engraved: A WILLIAM KENT ARMCHAIR / Made by ALEXANDER PERRY / OLD BOND STREET, LONDON CIRCA 1733 / SOUTHBY [sic] CATALOGUE MARCH 9, 1962. Height 38 1/2 inches (97.7 cm), width 28 inches (71.1 cm), depth 18 inches (45.8 cm).
