Chinese Archaistic Bronze Two-Handled Food Vessel, Gui
Qing Dynasty, probably 18th century
The rounded bombe body cast in low relief with confronting dragons forming taotie masks on a key pattern ground, the C-shape handles with tapir heads above a simple flange, areas of the interior patinated to imitate malachite encrustation. Height 3 3/4 inches.
