Early Samuel Kirk Silver Ewer
Baltimore, 1830-46

In 1815 Samuel Kirk of Baltimore founded a small shop that remains America's oldest silversmith. An advertisement from 1830 details the offerings of Samuel Kirk including the most fashionable silver ware made of Standard Assayed Silver... elegantly chased...(and) of every description made to order at the shortest notice.
