Of cylindrical form, with a band of acanthus leaves and two scrolled handles, on rope ring foot, the assembled cover marked WS over star, circa 1675. Length across handles 8 inches (20.3 cm), total approximately 18 ounces.

Porringer - clearly hallmarked at rim; good detail to acathus band; some solder to handle joins, but not showing signs of repair; engraved with later mid 18th century heraldic arms
Cover - a good tight fit to body; clear maker's mark, but apparently only that hallmark; good detail to decoration and finial
