Pair of Chinese Export Armorial Porcelain Deep Dishes
Painted with the arms of the Dukes of Anhalt-Dessau, with gilt-decorated borders. Diameter 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm).
The present lot lot belongs to a service ordered by Christian Auguste, Prince of Anhalt, and his wife Princess Johanna Elizabeth of Holstein-Gottorp, Prince and Princess of Anhalt, who were the parents of Catherine the Great.

In generally good condition; one dish with chip to edge at 6 o'clock; possible restoration to edge at 12 o'clock; some discoloration to lower edge of one plate; light wear and rubbing to gilding and enameled decoration; one dish with hairline crack to glaze at 5 o'clock.
