George III Inlaid Mahogany and Satinwood Pedestal Desk
Late 18th century
The leather-lined rectangular top with a writing flap on a double-ratchet support above a border inlaid with shells and fluting over three frieze drawers, one side with a writing slide, the other with a drawer, each pedestal with three graduated drawers, opposed by molded cupboard doors, on a conforming plinth. Height 30 3/4 inches (78.2 cm), width 50 inches (127 cm), depth 30 3/4 inches (78.2 cm).
