CAMERON, WILL J. From Cape Town to the Belgian Congo. From an address delivered before The Executives Club of Chicago March 29, 1929.
Chicago: privately printed, [1929]. First edition, inscribed by the author. Publisher's green pictorial paper over boards gilt, top edge gilt. 7 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches; 65 pp.; illustrated after photographs. Spine lightly sunned, else fine.
Uncommon in the trade; we trace no auction records. This copy inscribed on the first blank. "Cameron delivered an address relating his African experiences to the Executives' Club of Chicago in March, 1929, then apparently had these booklets printed for distribution to friends and business allies. While there are observations of the native peoples and the wildlife, there are also incidents of hunting lion, buffalo and a variety of antelope species. The text photographs are taken from movies he shot on the trip" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 51.
