Publisher's white polished pictorial buckram. 15 3/8 x 12 inches; x, 236 pp.; vignette title page, frontispiece and plates with tissue guards, in-text illustrations, half-title. Extremities bumped, spine darkened, cloth a bit stained, pale foxing to endpapers and some plates, occasional thumbsoiling.
"Highlighted by the author's detailed illustrations, this work represents Millais' journey toward the Limpopo River with excursions to hunt kudu, reedbuck, waterbuck, sable and roan. Near the Nuanetsi River, he bagged buffalo and zebra. After leaving the Limpopo, he collected trophy kudu, as well as lion and leopard.
