London: Sampson Low, Marston & Company, Ltd., 1913. Publisher's pictorial cloth in dust jacket. 9 x 5 3/4 inches; xxv, 314 pp.; frontispiece with tissue guard, 14 plates, half-title. Jacket a bit edgeworn with some tears and losses, cloth tips bumped, front free endpaper lacking, endpapers toned.
"While stationed at Aden, the author ventured on two hunting trips to Somaliland and particularly the Haud region. There are numerous encounters with lion, leopard and a variety of plains game including both greater and lesser kudu, oryx, hartebeest, various species of gazelle and dik-dik. An overlooked title with plenty of big game hunting adventures" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 204.
