[PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM - KENYA] Album of a big-game hunting trip in Kenya, 1915-1920.
Coarse pebbled leather, metal fasteners. 10 x 8 inches; 146 4x5 gelatin silver prints mounted on both sides of 37 leaves of stiff card, with pamphlet "Tours in South Central and East Africa" laid in. Leather a bit rubbed and scraped with one or two splits, but sturdy, many images a bit toned.
Nice amateur photo album of a Kenyan safari conducted by four white men, one of whom was the professional hunter leading the party, and a woman. Their bag included two male lions (one shot by the woman), gazelle, water buffalo, hippopotamus, bull elephant, etc. Other views include their vehicle, the campsite, luncheons, a boating party, etc. The laid-in pamphlet includes a section on "Big Game Hunting in Northern Rhodesia."
