Publisher's cloth in dust jacket, map endpapers. 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches; viii, 254 pp.; vignette title page, in-text illustrations, half-title. Jacket a bit worn and rubbed with creasing and loss to extremities, evenly toned throughout, ownership signature to front free endpaper, booksellers ticket to rear pastedown.
Warmly inscribed by C. T. Astley Maberly to the title page. "Wilmot was a game and Tsetse fly control officer in Botswana. He relates his numerous adventures in the region, including hunting lion, buffalo, crocodile, hippo, and various antelope species. He survived being mauled by a lion" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 304.
