Comprising approximately 130 letters, including letters from soldiers hospitalized during World War I; letters from friends, including relatives of Prince Paul Chavchavadze, the husband of Nina; and letters from Queen Olga of Greece ("Babu"), the grandmother of the two Grand Duchesses, from Athens, Pavlovsk and Sandringham; one letter from Queen Olga to Xenia, dated August 1919, which consoles Xenia on the death of her father, Grand Duke George Mikhailovich.
