Halliwell on the half-title; Early English Miscellanies, in Prose and Verse. London: For the Warton Club, 1855; and Song and Carols from a Manuscript in the British Museum of the Fifteenth Century. London: T. Richards, 1856. Two volumes; and Early English Poetry, Ballads, and Popular Literature of the Middle Ages. London: For the Percy Society, 1840-1852. 30 volumes.
All uniformly bound by Bedford in contemporary tan gilt-ruled calf, the spines in six compartments separated by five raised bands, gilt morocco lettering pieces in two, top edges gilt, inner gilt dentelles. Some boards detached but present, extremities rubbed, occasional scrapes and nicks.
Collection of finely bound classic works reprinted in the mid-nineteenth century by the Warton Club and the Percy Society. The lot approximately 33 volumes. (33)
