, 1994, printed 1990s. Comprising four gelatin silver prints from the Stems series, each 14 7/8 x 14 7/8 inches (378 x 378 mm) on larger sheet, versos with Friedlander's pencil signature above his hand stamp, each titled, dated and annotated. No defects noted in raking light. Framed.
Finding himself sidelined by injury from street photography, Friedlander turned to new subject matter, the flowers that his wife arranged. The result was an extraordinary series of images of which the present four examples were part.
