Oxford: [circa 1700]. Hand-colored double-page engraved double-hemispheric world map. Neatlines 14 7/8 x 20 1/2 inches (37.5 x 52 cm); framed. Three minor tape repairs to the verso, two extended into image just above text, ink numeral in bottom right corner, two stray ink spots.
Wells's unsophisticated map of the world, depicting California as an island, one of the last maps to do so. Shirley 608, ill. pl. 420.
