ROOSEVELT, THEODORE Signature below mounted flower from African trip.
A 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 inch (14 x 9 cm) card with a mounted flower inscribed "Greetings from Theodore Roosevelt and HKD" (the Roosevelt signature in his hand, the balance in another), housed in a holder with small portraits of Roosevelt and "Africa" at lower center, the verso reading "Post Card Flower Carrier" with the ink initials "HKD." The stem of one flower broken and loose, the card holder with losses, offered with a photograph depicting Roosevelt with missionaries in Africa. An ephemeral survival.
