TAFT, WILLIAM HOWARD Inscribed photograph
. Bust length portrait of Taft with the embossed stamp of Harris & Ewing, inscribed below the image "For Mr. Barney Adams of North Carolina/with best wishes/Wm H Taft/January 16th/1929/Washington", approximately 13 x 8 1/2 inches, visibly very fine, unexamined out of frame; together with an inscribed photograph as President, an 8 3/4 x 7 1/4 inch silver print mounted, dated 20 February 1913, and inscribed "For James Burden of New York/with best wishes/Wm H Taft", silvering to edges.
A fine inscribed portrait of Taft in his robe as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (he is the only person to have been both president and chief justice) accompanied by an inscribed portrait of Taft in the final weeks of his presidency.
