[AUSTRIA] MARIA THERESA, EMPRESS OF AUSTRIA Patent of nobility on vellum.
A large single leaf with calligraphic heading and affixed pendant wax seal in wooden seal-case, signed autograph endorsement in the lower margin (l.l.), Vienna February 1752, with endorsements of 1753 in several places. Overall sheet size (including the folded lower margin, which contains the signature) 21 1/4 x 29 1/2 inches (54 x 75 cm). Verso soiled, some toning to folds, a few chips to the seal-case, in all a very attractive example.
