Popov Manufactory, Moscow, 19th century
Modeled as a woman wearing exotic dress and a helmet with a crescent, holding a scepter and seated on a recumbent camel beside a palm tree, on an oval naturalistic base, underglaze blue manufactory mark under base. Height 6 inches (15.2 cm.), length 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm.).
A comparable figure by Popov was sold Christie's, London, November 28, 2016, lot 293.
