Centered by St. Peter's Basilica and surrounded by views, clockwise, of the Pantheon, Tomb of Cecilia Metella, Temple of Vespasian at the Forum, Ponte Salerio, Temple of Vesta at Tivoli, Temple of the Sibyl at Tivoli, the Colosseum, and the Piazza di Campidoglio; all within a marble ground and now in a velvet-lined giltwood frame. 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) by 7 inches (17.8 cm); frame 10 1/4 inches (26 cm) by 12 inches (30.5 cm).
