Regency Inlaid Mahogany Bookstand
Early 19th century
The hinged top on a ratchet and fitted with a retractable bookrest above a sliding side panel and frieze drawer, the front fitted with a hinged panel with brass retractable supports, raised on ring-turned supports joined by two concave shelves and ending in casters. Height 32 inches (81.3 cm), width 21 1/2 inches (54.6 cm), depth 17 inches (43.2 cm), extended depth 21 3/4 inches (55.3 cm).

Restored condition, good quality, age crack to top, shims to joins at lower section of top, repaired break to edge of hinged top and now with replaced hinges, later bookrest, old marks and scratches, ink stains to hinged flap and shelves, age crack to front of bottom shelf
