Paris, H. J. Jansen, 1802. First edition, likely a large-paper copy. French half-calf of the period. 20 x 13 1/4 inches (51 x 34 cm); portrait, xii, 108 pp., with 20 plates. Spine perished, some pale staining throughout.
Camper dissected a Ceylonese elephant in 1774. The present work was published posthumously by his son. Nissen 798.
