FITZ, W. GRANCEL (1894-1963) [Mother and Child with Apple Pie],
1950s, likely vintage. Gelatin silver print, 12 7/8 x 11 inches (328 x 280 mm), verso with Fitz's stamp. One small mark at left center, the image generally in excellent condition.
Grancel Fitz was a pioneering figure in American commercial photography (and also a big game hunter of note), whose work has been exhibited at MoMA etc.
