Vintage gelatin silver print, circa 1920s, with Kallmus' "d'Ora Wien" blindstamp at lower right, 8 x 5 7/8 inches (203 x 139 mm), minor silvering, else fine, matted.
Dora Kallmus, professionally known as Madame d'Ora, ranks among the foremost portrait photographers of the early 20th century. Born into a privileged Viennese family, her career spanned a fifty-year period from 1907 until 1957.
