MACKENZIE, MAXWELL Collection of 22 large format photographs.
A fine large group comprising 21 chromogenic prints, each ink signed, dated 1992 or 1993, and numbered from editions of 20 in the lower margin, and 1 black and white print ink signed, dated 1997 and numbered from the edition of 50. Most images 16 x 48 1/4 inches (406 x 1225 mm) on sheets measuring 30 x 56 inches (762 x 1422 mm). Housed in a large archival case, some curling to edges or the occasional smudge to signature ink, generally very fine and well preserved.
The black and white image here is Near Pomme de Terre Lake, Grant County, Minnesota, 1997, the balance are all attractive examples of Mackenzie's wide-lens studies of architecture, such as barns and abandoned houses set into richly colored landscapes etc.. A very fine collection.
