Chinese Polychrome Painted Covered Vase
Late Qing Dynasty
The baluster form with a domed cover, painted in the round with two striding dragons amid billowing clouds chasing flaming pearls all above crashing waves and a foliate scroll border at the base, worked in underglazed blue and green with red, blue, green, yellow and black enameling, mounted as a lamp. Height of vase 16 inches.
