New York: Harper & Brother's, 1933. Stated first edition, signed "with best wishes, Caroline Miller" on the front blank, first printing. Publisher's cloth, lacks jacket, in custom sleeve with a black lettering label in gilt noting the work's Pulitzer win in 1934. 345 pp. A few minor bumps to spine, else fine.
Rare signed first printing of Miller's first novel, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1934 and the Prix Femina Americain in 1935.
