New York: Random House, [1936]. First edition. Publisher's salmon cloth stamped in black and lettered in gilt, in a fine example of the unusual silver and red printed bellyband and acetate jacket with printed silver paper flaps. Slightly cocked and faded at spine, the jacket flaps with curling from the adhesive.
Gale Wilhelm's second novel after her We too are Drifitng, 1934. This work is a series of letters from a San Francisco woman who turns to prostitution while her man serves time at San Quentin. A good example of the unusual jacket.
