[Hartford: Sherwood Press] Privately Printed, 1905. Number 191 of 225 copies. Original cloth backed marbled boards with paper spine label. 45 pp., edges uncut. Small losses to cloth at head and foot of spine, light shelfwear to corners and edges, short closed tear to front blank at head, endpapers with showthrough of adhesive.
This is the first separate printing of this essay written by Wilde while at Oxford in 1879. We trace no copy at auction since 2005.
