Pair of Empire Gilt and Patinated-Bronze Candelabra
First quarter 19th century
Each in the form of a standing female term figure with two scrolling candle arms on a circular pedestal with panthers flanking a fountain, raised on a square plinth. Drilled for electricity. Height 21 1/2 inches (54.7 cm), width 8 inches (20.3 cm), square base 5 1/4 inches (13.5 cm).

Drilled for electricity, added section between candle nozzle and head of term figure, base drilled at back for wire, rubbing to gilding and patination, especially to gilding of bases, one figure with repaired break to right scroll below candle arm, old marks and scratches.
