Fanny Brigham, Southborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts
With bands of alphabets, a house on the hill, trees, flowers and animals and inscribed: 'Fanny Brighams Sampler wrought in the 11th year of her age 1809 Teach me to feel anothers woe. To hide the fault i see; That mercy i to others show. That mercy show to me.' with what appears to be a later addition: 'In the Thirtythird year of our independence'. Height 17 inches (43.1 cm), width 17 3/4 inches (45 cm).

Fanny Brigham was born on September 12, 1769 in Southborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts to Elijah Brigham (1743-1804) and Ruth Taylor (1747-1831) and died on May 31, 1865 in St. Albans, Franklin County, Vermont.
