Boston: Christopher Publishing House, [1928]. First edition, review copy with slip and folding order sheet. Publisher's red cloth lettered in gilt, in dust-jacket. 7 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches (20 x 13.5 cm); 248 pp.; illustrations from photographs, folding map. Wear with losses to the edge of the jacket, the binding bright and the text internally fresh.
More commonly met with in the 1947 second edition, this first edition is quite scarce, especially in the rare jacket of issue. "Young and his companions hunted Dall sheep in the hill country near the White River and the Generc River, mountain goat near the Nizina Glacier, and other big game. The bulk of their trophies were lost however, when their scow sank on the White River" - Czech. Czech Wild Sheep and goats p. 279.
