Publisher's red cloth, upper cover and spine lettered in gilt, in the dust-jacket. 8 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches (21 x 14.5 cm); xiv, 245, [1] pp.; half-tone portrait frontispiece,11 half-tone plates on 7 leaves. Gutter margin of one leaf a bit silverfished, else a near-fine copy.
Interesting account of a residence in what is now Malawi, with much on the natural history of the region.
