Publisher's light orange cloth lettered in black, in the dust-jacket. 7 5/8 x 5 1/4 inches (19.5 x 13 cm); (x), 196 pp.; 16 plates after photographs. Jacket with old tape repair at spine, the attractive front panel sound, the cloth generally sound, internally a few minor spots of foxing primarily at beginning and end.
"A little-known work with considerable big game hunting content. The author travelled though the Zambesi Valley hunting elephant and leopard near the Chewori River... He canoed along several stretches of the Zambesi with stops to bag buffalo and lion. There is also an excellent chapter on his views on rifle calibers, bullet choice and sights."
